Vid. Shree Shringeri H.S. Nagaraj has been the disciple of Vid. Sri H. Rama
Jois and Vid. H.R. Prasanna Venkatesh. Guruji has trained hundreds of
reputed musicians in their institute Sri Guruguha Sangeetha Mahavidyalaya.
Guruji found Shree Guruguha Sangeetha Maha Vidyalaya in their very
young age. Guruji has performed widely across the globe and has
conducted several workshops on Karnatic music. He is the recipient
of 'Naadasiri', ' Sangeetha Visharada ', 'Sangeetha Daarshanika' etc.
awards and honoured as a member of Karnataka Sangeetha Nruthya
Academy in 2006. His centre with its many branches all over Karnataka
promotes learning and enjoying Karnatic Music. Guruji involved in
several research about muthuswami Deekshithar's krithis and conducted
hundreds of workshops to interested students this regard.There are
many child organisation under Shree Guruguha Sangeetha Maha
Vidyalaya to promote young musicians, children and interested people.
Guruji continuing the GURU SHISHYA parampara in their gurukula
which located in Basavanagudi, Shimoga, Karnataka; here guruji takes
care of those students, whoever dedicating only for karnatic classical
music from childhood. Even this parampara is continuing in a non
commercial manner. Shree Guruguha Sangeetha Maha Vidyalya is a only
a single institution which works only for Nadopasana(worship of god
through music).
